Before and After Care

  • You shouldn't receive the hydrafacial treatment if you have one of the following:

  • -Open lesion or cold sore

  • -An active infection in the treatment area

  • -Active sunburn

  • -Skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, or rash

  • -An autoimmune disease such as lupus

  • -A viral concern such as HIV or hepatitis

  • -Anticoagulants Therapy

  • -Melanoma or lesions suspected of malignancy

  • -Pregnancy or lactation

  • -Accutane (isotretinoin) use within the past six (6) months

  • Patients who have had medical cosmetic facial treatments or procedures such as laser treatments, surgical procedures, cosmetic filler, microdermabrasion, etc. should wait until skin sensitivity completely resolves before receiving a hydrafacial treatment.

  • You shouldn't receive the LED light treatment during the Hydrafacial if you have:

  • -Neurological disorders such as epilepsy 

​

  • You shouldn't receive the Lymphatic drainage treatment during hydrafacial if you have: 

  • -Infection in the urinary system i.e. kidneys, bladder, and urethra 

  • -Crohn’s Disease 

  • -Hyperthyroidism 

  • -Deep Venous Thrombosis 

  • -Lymphedema

  •  PRE-PROCEDURE INSTRUCTIONS:

  • TWO WEEKS BEFORE YOUR Hydrafacial: Avoid the use of aggressive exfoliation, waxing, and products containing glycolic acids or retinol.  

Post-treatment care instruction

  • What to expect:

  • -Your skin may experience temporary irritation, tightness, or redness. These are all normal reactions that typically resolve within 72 hours depending on skin sensitivity.

  • -You may experience tingling and stinging in the treatment area. These sensations generally subside within a few hours.

  • -Patient experiences may vary. Some patients may experience a delayed onset of these symptoms.

  • -You will likely see results immediately after treatment and your skin may feel smooth and hydrated for up to four weeks with appropriate home care to maintain treatment results.

  • -The skin is more susceptible to sunburn/sun damage. Avoid excessive sun exposure and use a minimum of SPF 30 sunscreen.

  • TWO WEEKS AFTER YOUR HYDRAFACIAL TREATMENT:

  • -Avoid the use of aggressive exfoliation, waxing, and products containing glycolic acids or retinol. 

  • -Avoid direct sun exposure and excessive heat. Always use SPF of at least 30 and avoid direct sunlight for at least 2 week. 

  • -Patients with hypersensitivity to the sun should take extra precautions to guard against exposure immediately following the procedure as they may be more sensitive following the Hydrafacial.

  • -When washing your face, do not scrub. Use a gentle cleanser. 

  • -Hydrate as needed following the treatment. 

  • -AVOID electrolysis, facial waxing, or use of depilatories for approximately 7 days after the treatment.

  • -Do not have any other facial treatments for a least one week after your treatment.
